Kern River's Edge Campground (KRE) is an equal opportunity employer which hires seasonal and part-time employees during each camping season on the Kern River. These positions are mostly seasonal, and can be full-time, during our season.

KRE is located about one hour East of Bakersfield, CA in Kern County and just three hours northeast of Los Angeles, making us a perfect location for folks who want to get away from the city for several months out of the year.

Potential Available Positions
KRE is looking for a seasonal Camp Host. Candidates should have outstanding customer service skills combined with knowledge of the area including (or willingness to learn if you are new to the area). Live on-site in own RV. Strong work ethic, observant, skilled at managing people, multiple tasks, early riser, manages late check-ins graciously, daily cleaning & maintenance. Skilled at landscape, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation preferred. Clean DMV. In good health, physically active, tolerates heat well. Seasonal, April – November each year.
Maintenance & Grounds
KRE is looking for seasonal maintenance and groundskeepers. This is a combined position. Candidates should have outstanding customer service skills combined with knowledge of waterline assembly and installation, faucet installation and maintenance, tree planting trimming and tending, laying sod, moving rocks to create banks for trees. Proficient with pole saw, trimmers, lawn mower. Able to dig trenches by hand if needed for repairs.

KRE is looking for seasonal staff with solid computer skills, comfortable working with numbers. Applicants must have outstanding customer service skills, knowledgeable of the area and recreation opportunities, or a quick learner. Cashier experience. Retail display, merchandising and inventory experience preferred.
Prefer 21 years of age or older.
