October temps in Kernville, CA range from high 70's to low 80's during the day, and evenings cool off to high 40's. It's a glorious time to camp here. Think dipping your toes in the water, exploring trails, caves or waterfalls by day and sweater-weather, s'mores and dark skies by night. October weekends can fill up quick, and we normally have plenty of availability mid-week.
The Sequoia National Forest offers excellent hiking, mountain biking, river play, lake fun on Lake Isabella, some amazing fishing year-round, as well as pickle ball!
