Fall is one of our favorite times to camp out, enjoying the Kern River and all the outdoor options available around the Kern. Fall evokes thoughts of sweatshirt weather, campfire songs and s'mores sitting around the campfire with family and friends. Access to all our local trails for hiking, biking, climbing, fishing and exploring the Kern River Valley with a slower pace and fewer people. We invite you to visit very soon!
"We literally had thee BEST stay here at the KRE! If I could give more than five stars I would. The camp hosts were excellent, kind & caring. The location was perfect! Place is very well kept & clean. Definitely will be returning!!" Rachel Redenius

Campers-Who-Care
Thank you for being a Camper who Cares! Planning for success in the outdoors includes little changes like packing trash bags so that your group can leave our wild spaces cleaner than you found them. Think scavenger hunt and have everyone in your group canvas the area you have just used whether it be for "day use" or overnight camping and get everyone to participate in leaving the space better than you found it. This teaches and mentors campers of all ages to respect and treat the outdoors with the care that it deserves.
Always practice Leave No Trace (en Español) principles and pack out what you pack in. See our park's Kern River camping etiquette tips.
